{Sarah}

Sarah was born and raised in Midway, Utah. She is the youngest of three children. She has a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development. Sarah went on to work at Columbus Community Center, an activity center for adults with severe disabilities. A few years later, she worked in the Park City school district in the special education department and also taught a three-year-old preschool class. Currently, Sarah is working at Trailside elementary. She teaches in the Special Education department. She also works from home teaching english to children in China. It is a great job for a stay at home mom.

Sarah enjoys riding dirt bikes, paddle-boarding, camping, traveling, running and yoga. She loves doing service projects, planning parties, and taking Lilly to exciting places.

This is our story:

In 2008, Sarah and Casey were thrilled when they found out she was pregnant with their first child. Lillian was born on June 5th. Sarah had always wanted to be a stay at home mother. Luckily, she was able to do just that. She loves spending time with Lilly. They like going for walks, playing at the park, going swimming, taking music classes and most of all, frequent trips to Disneyland!

Two years later, when Casey and Sarah decided to get pregnant again, it was not simple. Sarah had to try different fertility drugs and also had two Intrauterine insemination procedures. Unfortunately, these were all unsuccessful.

However, in 2013, Sarah became pregnant again! Once again, our family was so excited. We prepared for another baby. Finn Tyler was schedule to be born February 20th, 2014. On January 9th, Sarah had not felt any movement and decided to visit her doctor. Finn's heart had stopped beating. He was stillborn. Our family was devastated. Finn is such an important part of our life. We miss him very much.

Then in August of 2014, Sarah was once again pregnant. We were excited for our rainbow baby boy. At 18 weeks, the doctors discovered our baby had Trisomy 13. They explained this was lethal and the baby would not live much longer. The doctors strongly suggested for Sarah to have an abortion. However, Sarah and Casey strongly felt this baby had so much more to offer. We named our baby, Christopher. Christopher made it full term, 37 weeks. When he was born, he lived for 75 minutes. He was amazing, strong, and perfect. Again, Christopher is an important part of our life, and we miss him very much.

Sarah and Casey think adoption is amazing! The love the child would receive in immeasurable. We love to travel and to introduce our children to new cultures around the world. We have a wonderful home in a great valley. It is a beautiful area with many outdoor recreation opportunities. The school in the area are excellent. We have a lot of family in the area who are just as excited as we are to adopt. We are so excited to pursue this opportunity and are ready to welcome a child to our family.

We understand the difficult decision and want to support the birth parent's however we can. I know the extreme heartache of loosing a child and know how important an open adoption would be.
